New set of barangay and SK leaders in Tanudan sworn in

Tanudan, Kalinga – A new set of barangay and youth leaders in the Municipality of Tanudan is ready to take over and lead their respective villages in the next two years.

These 256 officials who were chosen by the people in 16 barangays during the October 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections took their oath of office on Nov. 04.

The ceremony was administered by Vice Mayor Constancio Dalayap.

Now that they had sworn in, these new leaders are set to lead their barangays provided they comply to some requirements.

During the ceremony, Tanudan Municipal Local Government Operations Officer Hanna Lynel Elveña explained that punong barangays and barangay kagawads have to submit their Statements of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE) before they could assume office.

The SOCE is mandated to be filed within 30 days after the village and youth polls on Oct. 30.

As for the SK officials, they have to undergo and finish the Sangguniang Kabataan mandatory training meeting before assuming post. The training is scheduled this week.
