Pasil, Kalinga – The public will soon get to enjoy a smoother and easier ride in Pasil once the multi-million road project in the town is completed.

This ongoing road upgrade in Pasilwas made possible through the P195.72 million funding which came from the Department of Agriculture - Philippine Rural Development Project and the Provincial Local Government of Kalinga which shouldered 10% of the amount as their counterpart.

The project coversthe improvement of the 6.40-kilometer Limood, Balinciagao Sur-Magsilay-Malucsad-Amdalao route. Once completed, farmers in the municipality will get to bring their products like the heirloom rice, coffee, and other produce to the markets with lesser hassle.

It is not only the farmers and the 958 households in the municipality who will get to benefit from the project but also the travelers and motorists. This is because they will soon no longer have to endure the rough and muddy road dubbed as the ‘abortion road’ in Limood as riders and travelers have to hold on tight for the bumpy riding experience when passing through the area.

The multi-million farm-to-market road had its ground breaking ceremony on February 20, 2025 in Barangay Magsilay, Pasil.

Kalinga Governor James Edduba, in a statement, said that the FMR will facilitate more progress and faster services in Pasil.

"With the start of the construction of the farm to market road in town, masigurado ti sumaruno nga progreso ken napaspaspas nga serbisyo. Dakkel ti maitulong na Daytoy kadagiti komunidad iti beneficiary barangays, especially para iti panaka-transport ti ma-ani nga crops ken dadduma pay nga produkto local," he said.
