No poll-linked cases recorded in Ifugao during BSKE2023

Ifugao, Philippines - There was no recorded incident of violence during the conduct of the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections (BSKE) in Ifugao province on Oct. 30, according to Police Provincial Office.

In an update, the office said that the municipal police stations have not received any information on any untoward incidents, including arrests, confiscated contraband, and firearms, throughout the local elections.

Ifugao PPO have set up 37 checkpoints in various parts of the province in an effort to thwart any violence and ensure safety of voters who trooped to polling precincts.

The police action, with the cooperation of the law-abiding people of Ifugao, resulted to peaceful village and youth elections.

Prior to the polls, the Aguinaldo Municipal Police Station, among others, secured the Board of Election Inspectors as they transported the election paraphernalia to the polling precincts, including those in the far-flung areas.
