NPA Woman-leader in Cagayan arrested while on a bus in Camalaniugan

Cagayan, Philippines— Police arrested a female Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) leader while onboard a bus in Barangay Bulala, Camalaniugan, Cagayan on July 11, 2022.


The communist leader was identified by the army as Rosielyn Domingo Simeon, also known as “Jinky, Eya/Lara, Di/Diya”, 34.


The army reported Simeon was arrested in a joint operation involving the 4th Maneuver Platoon of 2nd Cagayan Provincial Mobile Force Company, Camalaniugan Municipal Police Station, Regional Mobile Force Battalion, 2nd PNP Special Action Force, and the 77th Infantry Battalion Philippine Army.

Philippine National Police said Simeon is a member of the Executive Committee of a local communist terrorist group operating in Cagayan province.


The woman leader is also an armorer and a member of the medic team.


The arresting government forces recovered three keypad cellphones, four sim cards, one power bank, four memory cards, one charger, one small pocket-size notebook, one box medical kit, a P1,000 bill, and one flash drive.

Simeon, along with confiscated items, was later brought to Camalaniugan Police Station. Meantime, PNP Chief Vicente Danao applauded the police operatives who caught Simeon.


“Let us continue this great accomplishment as we protect the community from this growing menace that threatens public safety and national security,” Danao stated.
