yKalinga is "Mister of Filipinas" FilCom in Saudi Arabia

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Ramm Marco Paduit made history by being the first yKalinga to win the Mister of Filipinas Filipino Community KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) 2023 pageant held on July 14.

Ramm, an Overseas Filipino worker who hails from Pinukpuk, defeated 13 other contenders in the competition, earning him the privilege to represent the Filipino community in Saudi Arabia at the Mister of Filipinas pageant.

Said pageant will be held in Manila in September this year.

‘Simplicity won the crown,’ Ramm said in a Facebook post on July 15.

“I distinctly recall last night asking my handler, critic, and very good friend and co-fur-parent, Mr. Alfredo, why he was not putting any accessories on me, to which he always responded, No, you don't need to! He hardly retouches my makeup or adjusts my hair after each competition category. Instead, he uses tissue paper to wipe away my sweat," he narrated.

He went on to say that despite bringing two spare pairs of shoes, he only wore a pair of white shoes in three straight categories of the competition.

Following his handler's advice to just display simplicity during the pageant's finale astonished the judges, allowing him to win the most coveted crown.

Apart from being the grand winner, the yKalinga nurse was also hailed as Ambassador of Fiestahan, Mr. Personality, Best Dressed in Athletic Wear (Fitness Round), and Best Dressed in Formal Wear.

Paduit is grateful to all the persons who made his journey to the crown possible.

To his co-candidates, the young man expressed ‘The camaraderie, friendships, and brotherhood we built is incomparable while we are promoting and maintaining the battlecry of MOF [Mister of Filipinas] which is masculinity with responsibility!’

On his journey to the Mister of Filipinas pageant, six crowns await him and his fellow contenders which include the Man of the World, Model Worldwide, Super Globe, Man Hot Star, Fitness Model World, and Mister Tourism and Culture Universe.
