Cordilleran mixed martial artist Carlo “The Bull” Bumina-ang delivered yet another explosive performance at ONE Fight Night 30, earning a dominant first-round technical knockout victory over his Argentinian opponent on April 5 at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Team Lakay fighter showed his trademark aggression and versatility from the opening bell, controlling the action both on the ground and on his feet, never allowing his opponent, Mauro Mastromarini, to find a rhythm.

Halfway through the very first round, Mastromarini managed to get back on his feet after an early takedown by Bumina-ang. However, he was quickly met with a powerful left hook from the 31-year-old Filipino fighter that sent him crashing to the canvas.

Then, with the Argentinian down and defenseless in the corner, Bumina-ang unleashed a punishing left hand, prompting the referee, Herb Dean, to stop the fight at the 2:45 mark of the first round.

With his victory, Bumina-ang improved to an 8-win and 1-loss professional MMA record and marked his second consecutive first-round TKO win. He previously did the same thing against South Korea’s Song Min Jong during their fight back in February of this year.

His stellar performance against Mastromarini further cements his status as one of the leading prospects in ONE Championship’s bantamweight division and a strong case for a title shot in the future.

“Victory! All glory to God for the strength and focus He gave me today. Thank you once again, ONE Championship and Sir Chatri Sityodtong, for the continuous opportunity. I’m grateful to my coaches, led by Coach Mark Siangao, my teammates, my family and friends, our manager, Congressman Eric Yap, and everyone who supported and prayed for me. I couldn’t have done it without you. Excited for what’s next! ,” the Igorot fighter wrote on his Facebook page after his win.
