Updated: Oct 13, 2022

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A former policeman who was tagged in the killing of yKalinga soldier, Major Marvin Indammog, and three other intelligence officers in 2020, was arrested on April 15, 2022, in Kasalamatan Village, Barangay San Raymundo, Jolo.

Criminal Investigation and Detection Group reported that the operatives served the arrest warrant of Abdulzhimer Halisan Padjiri for four counts of Murder.

The police revealed that they responded to an alleged trespassing incident on April 15. When they arrived at the area, the reported trespasser was said to have attempted to escape by jumping over the fence of the house. However, the authorities were quick enough to stop him.

The suspect was later identified to be Padjiri, one of the 9 former police officers who shot Major Indammog and 3 other soldiers back in June 2020 in Jolo, Sulu.

As recalled, Indammog, who was the Commanding Officer of the 9th Intelligence Service Unit in Sulu, was conducting intelligence and monitoring operations against suspected suicide bombers when they were gunned down by nine policemen.

The nine suspects were brought to Camp Crame and they were dismissed from service. However, they were released back to their family pending the issuance of their warrants of arrest.

Said arrest warrants against the suspects were issued by the court in January 2021.
