Over P.2M cash aid benefit 50 Ikalingas during opening of 166th Malasakit Center

Tabuk City, Kalinga - Fifty indigent patients at the Kalinga Provincial Hospital (KPH) have been provided with P250,000 cash aid by the Department of Social Welfare and Development during the opening of the Malasakit Center at the said hospital on Tuesday, July 16.

 

Under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program of the DSWD, the financial assistance given aims to help beneficiaries pay their medical bills and other essential needs.

 

Each received P5,000 pesos from the DSWD- Cordillera, providing them with financial relief.


The financial assistance was personally distributed by DSWD- Cordillera Regional Director Maria Aplaten. The distribution was witnessed by Governor James Edduba, Vice Governor Jocel Baac, along other with other provincial officials.

 

With the opening of the Malasakit Center at the Kalinga Provincial Hospital, iKalingas may now avail of free various healthcare services of the Philhealth, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, and DSWD.

 

The center serves as a beacon of support for indigent patients in the province, offering a range of services to ensure aid and recovery.
