Over P.4M livelihood kits granted to 62 Aguinaldo MSMEs in 2022

Aguinaldo, Ifugao – For the year 2022, at least 62 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Aguinaldo, Ifugao were granted P496,000 worth of aid, reported the Department of Trade and Industry – Ifugao.


The provision was made possible through the agency’s Negosyo sa Serbisyo sa Barangay (NSB) Program and Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa - Livelihood Seeding Program (PPG-LSP) program that provides P8,000 worth of livelihood kits to each of the recipients for the improvement of their businesses.


Priority assistance, according to the department, shall be given to micro-enterprises affected by health disasters such as the COVID-19 pandemic and natural and human-induced calamities, including fire incidents.


The DTI-Ifugao, in partnership with the local government of Aguinaldo, made the kit distribution in separate batches.

In his statement at one of the awarding programs held, Provincial Director Lino Cungihan expressed his hope that the assistance may contribute to the success of the beneficiaries which they would love to hear in their next visits.


Kagawad Christopher Labong of Barangay Halag, Aguinaldo, then thanked those in the department who conducted seminars in the far-flung areas of the municipality.


Aside from the enterprises in Aguinaldo, the provincial trade and industry department likewise provided 114 kits to those in Alfonso Lista, 70 in Asipulo, 80 in Banaue, 33 in Hingyon, 37 in Hungduan, 75 in Kiangan, 143 in Lagawe, 64 in Lamut, 105 in Mayoyao, and 98 in Tinoc.
