Over P16M  school building in Tinoc, Ifugao soon to rise  thru Adopt-A-School program


Tinoc, Ifugao - Kalanguya National High School (KNHS) in Tinoc, Ifugao will soon have a two-storey school building with four classrooms through the Adopt-A-School Program (ASP).

 

ASP is a DepEd program that encourages government and private agencies to address the needs of public schools located in the poorest or low-income municipalities.

 

According to the Philippine Information Agency - Ifugao, a Memorandum of Agreement was signed by the five stakeholders on  December 20, 2023, for the realization of the project.


Signing the MOA were the DepEd – Ifugao, KNHS, Philippine Army Finance Center Producers Integrated Cooperative (PAFCPIC), the 54th Infantry Battalion, Wangwang BLGU, and the ALFA ALFA construction.

 

Under the agreement, DepEd-Ifugao will provide guidance and directions to make sure the project is implemented efficiently and effectively.

 

As for the fund, over P16 million will be provided by the PPAFCPIC, while the 54th IB shall also assist in labor and ensure the safety and security of the workers.

 

Wangwang BLGU and the community, where KNHS is located, will be responsible for enforcing laws and ordinances in the school for the safety of the project, among others.

 

For its part, KNHS will take care of the school building and sustain the usability and proper reporting and inventory of the donated books in the DepEd Partnership Data Base System.
