Overspeeding kills 30-yr-old construction worker in Isabela road crash

Cabagan, Isabela - A construction worker died after he crashed on the road in Isabela on Monday, July 1, 2024, due to overspeeding, police reported.

The deceased, identified as Charles Kenneth Oñot, 30, is a resident of Cabagan, Isabela.

An investigation conducted by the Cabagan PNP revealed that Oñot was on board a motorcycle on said day when the tragic accident occurred.

The victim was traversing the road in Barangay Magassi when he lost control of his vehicle, causing him to hit a concrete barrier.

His fellow riders who witnessed the incident relayed to the police that Oñot was overspeeding at that time.

Although he was wearing a helmet, Oñot was severely injured due to the force of the impact.

The responding rescuers immediately rushed him to a medical facility but the attending physician declared him dead on arrival.
