P.1M reward awaits tipsters of suspect who torched backhoe in Pinukpuk

Pinukpuk, Kalinga – Informants who will relay valuable information for the identification and capture of the culprit behind the burning of a backhoe in Pinukpuk will receive a P100,000 reward from its owner.


It was on Thursday, July 1, when the backhoe operator parked the heavy equipment in a quarry site at Sitio Turayok, Barangay Katabbogan, Pinukpuk.

Based on the initial investigation, as relayed by Police Captain Ruff Manganip, the burning of the backhoe happened around 2:30 PM on July 2 but the incident was only reported to authorities a day after.


While a probe is still ongoing to determine the amount of damage incurred due to the burning and what was used to inflame the heavy equipment, the owner, Enrique Chua, is now offering a cash reward for the suspects’ quick identification.

The office assured the identity of informants will be kept private, in case they decide to tip information that would help in resolving the case.
