P.3M reward up for arrest of Tabuk carnap suspect

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Manuel Gunnawa Sr., the brother of Punong Barangay of Bulanao Centro – Cosme, put up P300,000 worth of cash reward to informants who will provide key information, leading to the identification or capture of those behind the carnapping of his vehicle over the weekend.

Gunnawa, in an interview, said he parked his white Hilux with red skid plate in front of their house at the back of St. Tonis College, Inc. after he used it on Friday, June 30.

It was on Sunday morning that he noticed his pickup truck bearing plate number BAA 1589 was gone.

He immediately called his relatives and authorities to ask for help.

When they reviewed the CCTV, it revealed that the car was driven out of the residence at around 12 a.m. of Sunday.

Gunnawa, along with the police, suspected that the person who stole the vehicle acquired key duplicate as the alarm embedded in it was not triggered.

“Idiay review ti CCTV, nag-blink (diay lugan)… awan pay three seconds ket nagandaren… ammu diay tao nga adda CCTV ta makikita silaw ti CCTV su sabali nagnaan na,” he said.

“Pan da (police) kinitkita ti CCTV nga possible nga nakahagilap iti dalan ket naammu-ak garud kanyada nga adu gayam ti awan gayam ti CCTV nga dati nga na-install iti junction ti White Carabao, napirpirdi da. Nu makita lang kuma nu anya direksyon na nu rinumwar ditoy Bulanao,” he added.

Gunnawa is not hoping that the car will be returned as it might have already been sold or tampered, but he is determined for the arrest of those responsible to prevent them from committing such unscrupulous acts in town.

Likewise, he cautioned the public to park their car in safe and well-lit areas to avoid being a victim.
