P10M Asafang Sumadel Local Access Road in Tinglayan inaugurated

Tinglayan, Kalinga – With more roads getting constructed in Sumadel, constituents will get to enjoy travelling and transporting their goods outside the community with less hassle.

Recently paved road in the barangay is the Asafang Sumadel Local Access Road which was turned over by the Taungay Construction to the Tinglayan Local Government Unit led by Mayor Sacrament Gumilab on May 30, 2023.

According to Tinglayan Municipal Information Office, the P10 million project was funded through the Local Government Support Fund-Financial Assistance to Local Government Unit (LGFS-FALGU) of the Department of Budget and Management.

Mayor Gumilab, in a statement, conveyed that the concreting of the Asafang Sumadel access road is just a part of the municipality’s Road Networks Plan that aims to connect all barangays of Tinglayan.

"We will continue sourcing out fund for the completion and achievement of the Municipality's Road Networks Plan," he pledged.

It could be recalled that in March last year, a P4 million worth of road going to Sumadel I was constructed. After its completion, another road in the barangay was cemented with a P5 million budget.
