Updated: Jun 24, 2023

Bauko, Mt. Province - Three road projects in Bauko which are under the Support of the Barangay Development Programs (SBDP) of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) were turned over on Monday, June 19.

Said projects allocated with 4 million pesos each are the Improvement of the Bagnen Oriente-Bagnen Proper Road, Bagnen Proper-Balintaugan Road, and Bagnen Proper-Balintaugan-Market-an Road.

As explained during the turnover ceremony, these projects were implemented through Executive Order No. 70 and are among the many programs of the national government concentrated on the provision of infrastructures and social services to the public, particularly residents of geographically-isolated areas in the country.

With the completion of said roads, residents in Bagnen Proper, Bagnen Oriente, and Balintaugan can now easily travel and experience speed-up transport of produce to the marketplace.

In his acceptance message, Bauko Mayor Randolf T. Awisan expressed his gratitude to individuals who have been part of the projects from start to finish.

He emphasized that through collaborations by the community and officials, the three projects which were once a dream became a reality, thus reminding them of the importance of working together.

Meantime, Congressman Maximo Dalog Jr. and DILG Mt. Province Provincial Director Evelyn B Trinidad reminded officials and the residents of the three barangays to take good care of the newly-completed roads.
