P15.9M worth of aid given to Ifugao PLGU, 5 towns


Lagawe, Ifugao – In its bid to help displaced workers in the province, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) allocated a total of P6.518 million to five local government units in the province of Ifugao.


The recipients received said funds during the turn-over ceremony held at Lagawe Provincial Hall on July 3, 2023, the Philippine Information Agency- Ifugao reported.


Of the total assistance given, a check amounting to P1.14 million was received by Asipulo LGU, P860, 300 by Hungduan LGU, and P1.398 million by Mayoyao LGU.

Likewise, the municipalities of Lamut received P1.284 million and Tinoc received P835,740 under the agency’s Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) program which aims to create livelihood programs for the informal sector.


For the provincial government, they were awarded a total of P9.377 million, also under the TUPAD program.


Cordillera Regional Director Nathaniel Lacambra, who led said ceremony, mentioned that additional funds will be given to local government units whose mayors are present during the event.


Thus, the municipality of Mayoyao led by Mayor Jimmy Padchanan Jr. and Lagawe Mayor Martin Habawel Jr. received P500,000 each.
