P18.96M Marijuana seized in Tarlac, 2 suspects are from Tabuk City

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Two men from the city were among 6 suspects arrested in Tarlac Thursday morning, February 18 after the police recovered 158 kilograms of suspected Marijuana worth P18.96 milllion.


Based on Philippine National Police' official Facebook page, Chief PNP PGen. Debold Sinas identified the suspects as Marlon Miranda, 34, a high value target, and Joey Palaeyan, 33. Both are residents of Bulanao, Tabuk City.


Other suspects include Freddie Letta, 35; Carl Maico, 22; Via Ortiga, 19; and Lorraine Fulgencio, 23.

In a report, Miranda and Palaeyan sold 25 bricks of suspected dried Marijuana leaves worth P3,000,000 to an operative who acted as buyer in San Francisco, Conception, Tarlac. Additionally, the four other suspects were arrested after caught transacting with the drug pedlers.


Other items confiscated from the suspects were another 5 bricks of Marijuana worth P600,000; buy-bust money; a cellular phone; a Toyota Atlis; a Vivo cellphone, and 100 rounds of 5.56 ammunition.

"Recent accomplishments against drug syndicates manifest the responsiveness of PNP units to the national government’s campaign against illegal drugs and criminality," said Sinas.


The six suspects and the confiscated items were brought to PNP Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit. Case is being prepared against them.
