P3.4M newly built multi-purpose gym in Conner, Apayao inaugurated

Conner, Apayao - Residents of Conner in Apayao now have an evacuation shelter and a venue for various events following the inauguration of the newly constructed multi-purpose gymnasium in town.

The building, which is located in Barangay Manag, was funded by the office of Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr. and Congresswoman Eleanor Bulut-Begtang.

As mentioned by the Apayao Provincial Public Information Office, over P3.4 million was allocated for the completion of the said facility.

During the inauguration ceremony, which was held on November 20, 2023, Bulut Jr. also distributed P50,000 to each Barangay in the municipality.

The additional fund aimed to address other necessities within the Barangays.

In his speech, the governor assured that more projects will be built if the people will take part in attaining development and protecting attained progress in the locality.

Bulut-Begtang, meantime, informed the residents about the various initiatives that her office is working on while promising to provide more funds to the different sectors of the community.

"No kitaen yo, haan nga mabaybay-an ti probinsya tayo...Dakkel ti um-umay nga pondo tayo, isunga agtitinnulong tayo kuma," the congresswoman conveyed.

Also present during said ceremony were local officials of the municipality and heads of various national line agencies.
