P80M Gappu-Lower Lubo, Tanudan road concreting begins

Tanudan, Kalinga – Concreting of the national road from Sitio Gappu to Lower Lubo, Tanudan started with the clearing and widening of the road on March 20, 2023.

Said project is covered by P80 million in funding from the Department of Public Works and Highways, says Tanudan Local Government Unit Designated Information Officer, John Ryan Awingan.

Awingan added that the project is part of the Tabuk-Tanudan via Barlig national road which is being funded yearly through the initiative of Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang until it is completed.

Last year, P100 million was allotted for the cementing of the portion of the road from Banagao, Poblacion to Tabangao, Babbanoy, Lubo.

For this year, the P80 million budget will cover the highway from Sitio Gappu to Lower Lubo.

Realization of dream

With better roads now reaching far-flung areas in Tanudan such as Lubo and Dacalan, Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag conveyed his gratitude to Mangaoang who has been helping fulfill the locality’s dream of having accessible and paved roads.

He added that this development will make his constituents’ life easier as they can travel without any hassle and they can transport their products without difficulty.

“Nagasat nak ken dagiti constituents ko ta diay tagtagainep idi ti umili ti Tanudan nga makalsaan iti ayan da ket saggabassiten nga matungpal. Thank you sir Congressman iti kinasayaat mo nga mangtultulong ti Tanudan tapnu ti kasta ket lumagan iti panag biyag ti tatao babaen dagiti kalsada nga ma-concrete,” he expressed.
