P9M infra projects turned over to Sagada, Mt. Province

Sagada, Mt. Province – To improve the socio-economic condition of Sagada, the Provincial Local Government of Mountain Province turned over P9 million worth of infrastructure projects in Barangays Taccong and Nacagang on November 15, 2022.

Provincial Engineer Edward Likigan, through the Provincial Government of Mountain Information Office, conveyed that said projects were funded by the provincial government through its Barangay Muna Program.

Said program is the brainchild of Governor Lacwasan that aims to find ways of increasing the benefits being extended to the province’s 145 barangays to contribute in efforts to spur development in the countryside.

The recently completed projects are the P2,000,000 worth Barangay Hall in Taccong, Nacagang Multi-purpose Building, the P7,000,000 worth Palapas Waiting Shed in Nacagang and the Madepdepas-Taccong-Nacagang road project.

Governor Bonifacio Lacwasan Jr., during the turnover program, emphasized the importance of cooperation among officials and residents of two barangays. The collaboration, he said, resulted in the successful implementation of the projects.

As for Congressman Maximo Dalog Jr., he said the projects are genuine developments that will help in the socio-economic development and progress of said barangays.

Meantime, Mt. Province officials assured they will be allotting more funds for projects needed to be accomplished in said areas.
