Painting workshop-for-a-cause to benefit 6 hospitals in Kalinga

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Young artists in Kalinga are invited to take part in the painting workshop-for-a-cause to be held this month in Tabuk City.


Dubbed as ‘Sabong ti Namnama’ or 'Flowers of Hope' painting workshop, the activity is a series of art workshops for aspiring indigenous youth artists in which they are to produce a flower-themed painting following some lectures.

Said artworks crafted will be donated to six public hospitals in the province, according to the Cordillera Young Leaders Club, the lead proponent of the workshop.


The activity is in collaboration with the Office of the Kalinga Provincial Governor, Kalinga Provincial Health Office and Kalinga Association of Innovative DOST Scholars.


In the conduct of the activity, the youth organization encourages secondary and college students who have passion for painting, who want to improve their painting skills, and those who are willing to donate their artwork after the workshop to public hospitals in Kalinga.


The workshop has two schedules: August 19 at the Capitol Canopy, Bulanao, Tabuk City and August 26 in Dagupan Centro, Tabuk City. The exact venue for Dagupan will be announced later.


The turn-over of paintings to its hospital-recipients will be held on August 29.
