Pasil barangay officials pay tribute to MLGOO Lacuesta

Updated: Apr 10, 2023

Pasil, Kalinga – All of us leave our mark on others and the world. As for Local Government Operations Officer Helen Lacuesta, she left an indelible mark on the officials and employees in the locality.

Lacuesta was assigned to the municipality of Pasil in March 2019. After four years of guiding, incapacitating, and working with the municipal and barangay officials and personnel, including the Civil Society Organizations, Sangguniang Kabataan officials, and partner agencies, the MLGOO was re-assigned to Tabuk City.

Her reassignment is pursuant to the guidelines of the deployment and tour of duty of City and Municipal LGOOs set by the Department of Interior and Local Government to its field officers, and the implementation of Regional Order 040-2023.

“We hate to see you go... You left your legacy”

During the second day of their First Quarter Conference on March 24 at the Las Vegas Hotel, barangay officials, along with youth leaders of Pasil had the chance to express their message to Lacuesta.

“We hate to see you go… You left your legacy,” said Association of Barangay Chairpersons (ABC) President Luis Viernes.

Meantime, Punong Barangay of Dangtalan, Lam-en Gonnay relayed their experiences with the leadership of Lacuesta.

“Di napalabas nga official kami, uray awan ti report nga isub-submit mi, araramiden ni DILG. Ti rigat na diay, maignorante ka nga opisyal idiay mapaspamsamak ti gobyerno, ket adda met daytoy nga medyo natuso nga inmay idiay Pasil, isu paylang ti nagsimpa,” he said.

“Sapay kuma ta tuloy-tuloy nga kasdiay katapang diay sumangpet ta isu lang ti tulbek tapnu ag-active ti barangay officials – kinasiglat ti DILG. Nu pakaang-kaang ti DILG, pulos nga han nga... ma-spoiled ti barangay officials,” added Lam-en.

In response, Lacuesta extended gratitude to all those whom she worked with and asked that they continue striving for the betterment of their community.

“Thank you LGU Pasil for the fruitful years serving and working with amazing people... I am forever grateful for all that I've learned from all of you,” she captioned in her Facebook post.
