Pasil Council approves cash incentive for three-termer barangay officials

Pasil, Kalinga – The Municipal Council of Pasil approved on third reading the ordinance establishing an award system for all the three-termer elective barangay officials to serve as motivation for the dedicated officials to improve their performance.

The measure, authored by Councilor Ronnie Bawalan, was forwarded to the office of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan led by Vice-Governor, Atty. Dave Odiem for further review and approval.

According to the proponent, all elective barangay officials who have completed their three consecutive terms from the final approval of the municipal ordinance shall be entitled to P15,000 cash incentive and an appropriate Plaque of Recognition.

The awards shall be given in an appropriate ceremony which will be scheduled at the recipient’s end of terms.

Bawalan believes that the barangay residents will re-elect officials who have carried out satisfactory service during their tenure thus, deserving to be properly recognized.
