Pasil LGU commended for supporting DOH Province-Wide Health System

Pasil, Kalinga – “Another milestone unlocked for Pasil!”

This is how the Department of Health – Kalinga recognized Pasil municipal council headed by Vice-Mayor Venancio Magangat for being the first in Kalinga to support the implementation of the Province-Wide Health System.

Approved on March 07, 2023, the Sangguniang Bayan members passed Municipal Resolution No. 2023-45, authorizing the Pasil LGU through Mayor Alfredo “Chao-ig” Malannag Jr. to enter into Memorandum of Agreement with the provincial government and the seven other LGUs for the said purpose.

The measure, which calls for the full support of LGU focal persons that will be engaged in the activity, was initiated by the Chairperson for Committee on Health, Councilor Nick Bommogas.

“This is to jumpstart managerial and technical integration for a unified local governance of the provincial health system needed for Universal Health Care implementation,” the local health department stated.

In general, the main objective of the integration is to ensure and strengthen the collaborative linkages between the province and its component LGUs through the generation, mobilization, and allocation of essential resources for the improvement and sustainability of an efficient and effective health care delivery system, the DOH - Kalinga further explained.

Pasil Municipal Heath Office took to social media to express gratitude to Vice-Mayor Magangat and Bommogas for backing the resolution that shall benefit their constituents’ health.
