Pasil LGU awards Top 3 Best Katarungang Pambarangay Law Implementers

Pasil, Kalinga – Recognizing the invaluable efforts of the Lupong Tagapamayapa of barangays in maintaining peace and order, Pasil LGU on Saturday, June 18, 2022, awarded its Top Three Best Katarungang Pambarangay Law Implementers.

All Lupong Tagapamayapa were judged based on their efficiency in operations, effectiveness in securing the settlement of interpersonal dispute objective of KBL, creativity and resourcefulness, area of facility for the KP activities, and financial or non-financial support to KP.

The assessment was conducted by DILG, MPDC, PNP Chief, Chairman on POC, the Liga ng mga Barangay President, and MSWDO.

The first of the three awarded is Barangay Cagaluan with an outstanding overall performance rating of 95%.

The winning lupon was given P10,000 cash incentive to be utilized in enhancing services as lupon members.

Cagaluan is also the provincial nominee for the Lupong Tagapamaya incentive award for the regional assessment under 4 to 6th class category.

Barangay Dangtalan ranked second with 84.50% overall rating, receiving P7,000 cash.

The list was followed by Barangay Pugong with a rating of 83.50%. Lupons in this barangay were provided P4,000 cash incentive.

Provision of the said incentive award was institutionalized through the Municipal Ordinance No. 2021-07 authored by the Chairman of Peace and Order Committee, Councilor Ronnie Bawalan.
