Pasil LGU gets recognition for its support to Red Cross blood program

Pasil, Kalinga – The municipal government of Pasil led by Mayor Alfredo “Chao-ig” Malannag Jr. was among those recognized by the Philippine Red Cross – Kalinga during its 8th Chapter General Assembly and Appreciation Night held Friday, Dec. 2, 2022 at the Davidson Hotel.


Carried with the theme, "Philippine Red Cross and the Challenges Ahead, Being Better than the Best Always," the event honored partner organizations, LGUs, and individuals that contributed to the blood programs initiated by the country’s humanitarian organization.

Pasil has been regularly conducting bloodletting activities, resulting in their sufficient stock of blood.


Mayor Malannag Jr. personally received two recognitions in said program. One of which is a Certificate of Appreciation for his dynamic leadership and meritorious services in supporting and promoting the various humanitarian services through fund generation and other services for Red Cross for the year 2019 to 2022.


Another appreciation award is for the Pasil LGU’s contribution and support to the Blood Program which played vital role in the organization’s mission to save lives.

“Your unselfish partnership with Red Cross has provided sufficiency in our blood program,” added the organization.


Malannag took to social media to thank Red Cross for their blood drive efforts. He likewise recognized the cooperation of his constituents, especially the blood donors.


“We, in Pasil, have always been supportive of various blood programs and services for safe blood can help patients suffering from life-threatening conditions live longer. Also, blood is essential for treating the wounded during emergencies of all kinds… We assure our continued support and promotion of blood program,” says the mayor in his recent post.
