Pasil LGU tops Safety Seal implementation in Kalinga

Pasil, Kalinga – Out of the seven municipalities and the component city in Kalinga Province, Pasil was recognized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government - Kalinga as the top implementer of the Safety Seal Certification program.


Said safety seal intends to increase compliance of private or public entities with the minimum public health standards set by the government as provided by Inter-Agency Task Force Resolution No. 87.


The measure was pushed to contain the spread of COVID-19.


Pasil, in its implementation, organized its LGU Safety Seal Inspection Team who monitored, validated and inspected business establishments.

As of press release, Pasil issued 203 safety seal certificates out of 223 total establishments, barangay and municipal facilities as well as the different schools in the municipality, ensuring their adherence to health protocols.


The DILG – Kalinga tagged the accomplishment of the municipality as an outstanding performance, thus conferring an appreciation award.


The Certificate of Appreciation was awarded by the department during the celebration of Pasil’s 56th Founding Anniversary held on June 18, 2022 at the Municipal Covered Court, Amdalao, Guina-ang.

The appreciation award was handed to Pasil LGU represented by Mayor Alfredo “Chao-ig” Malannag Jr. thru Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Helen Lacuesta.


Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang, represented by Reginald Wacas, and Governor-elect James Edduba assisted the MLGOO in the ceremonial awarding.


Recognition of Team leader of LGU inspectorate team


In recognition of his untiring and invaluable efforts as team leader, leading Pasil LGU to achieve an outstanding performance in the whole province, a Certificate of Appreciation was also awarded to Municipal Treasurer Estemson Barcellano.
