Pasil MHO implements vaccination drive giving Pfizer, CoronoVac, AstraZeneca jabs

Pasil, Kalinga - The local government of Pasil through its Municipal Health Office under Dr. Aldrin Siwao invites the yPasil youth under the 12 to 17 age bracket and the 18 years old and above to participate in the COVID-19 vaccination drive scheduled on November 19 to 20 at Cagaluan Elementary School.


According to Pasil MHO, Pfizer will be distributed to youth aged 12 to 17 with no comorbidity. The municipality targets 1,148 pediatric vaccination but expects less for some who already received their doses in Tabuk City while others are still hesitant.


Based on the projected population, the office targets 66 youth in Ableg, 55 in Bagtayan, 197 in Balatoc, 91 in Balinciagao Norte, 49 in Balinciagao Sur, 159 in Cagaluan, and 44 in Colayo.

In Dalupa, 58 youth are expected to be vaccinated, 70 in Dangtalan, 48 in Galdang, 117 in Guina-ang, 85 in Magsilay, 52 in Malucsad, and 82 in Pugong.


CoronaVac (SinoVac) and AstraZeneca will be given to interested 18-year-old individuals and above. The office stated that vaccine allotment for adults is dependent on the number of those who will be coming.


To maintain social distancing and ensure application of the minimum public health protocols, residents of Colayo, Balatoc, Bagtayan, Galdang, Guina-ang, Malucsad, Pugong, and Dangtalan are encouraged to proceed at the venue on Friday, November 19.


Individuals residing at Magsilay, Balinciagao Sur and Norte, Ableg, Dalupa, and Cagaluan are scheduled on Saturday, November 20.


“Aanak ji iPasil on mantawon hi 12-17 y/o and jan kakailian on mantawon 18 and above. Maawis kayo amin on imoy mampabakuna nu Friday and Saturday ud Cagaluan Elementary School,” posted Pasil MHO.


As of November 14, 39 percent of the target population in the municipality are already fully vaccinated. A total of 3,657 individuals are yet to receive their first dose.


Municipal Mayor Alfredo Malannag Jr. along with the health officers, appeals for the community to cooperate and submit themselves to the vaccination drive so they can be protected against the effects of the virus.
