Pasil RHU, first accredited PhilHealth - KonSulTa facility in Kalinga

Pasil, Kalinga – The Rural Health Unit of Pasil is the first healthcare entity in the Province of Kalinga to obtain accreditation as Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama Package (KonSulTa) facility from Philippine Health Insurance Corporation.

The Municipal Health Office disclosed that they received the certificate of accreditation of Pasil RHU. The said certificate is valid from March 14 to December 31, 2022 unless otherwise suspended or revoked earlier.

As PhilHealth – KonSulTa provider, the health unit is expected to administer comprehensive primary care benefit such as consultation and case management, provision of preventive health services, referral to specialty and higher levels of care and assisting eligible beneficiaries in accessing services.

Elsie Tanding of Rural Health Unit narrated that after they were briefed by PhilHealth last year, they applied as KonSulTa facility in January. The personnel submitted necessary documents and prepared the facility.

On February 23, the PhilHealth Regional Office – Cordillera made a visit to assess the preparedness of the health unit.

With the concerted effort of the stakeholders, the application of the Pasil RHU was granted.

“Nag-attend na din sila ng konsulta orientation nung April 25, 2022 thru virtual. Pwede na silang magstart anytime,” Jean Baawa of PhilHealth - Kalinga said.

Mayor Alfredo ‘Chao-ig’ Malannag Jr. congratulated Municipal Health Office personnel led by Dr. Aldrin Siwao for their commitment and hard work in their bid to give easy access of health benefits to their constituents.
