Tabuk City, Kalinga – Six brand new Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs) from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office were donated today, March 29, 2022, to the province as a grant to the requests of the municipal local government units.

Kalinga Governor Ferdinand Tubban revealed this through his social media post saying that the PTVs will be given to the Municipalities of Pasil, Tinglayan, Tanudan, Balbalan, and Pinukpuk.

One PTV, he said, will be utilized by the Kalinga Provincial Hospital.

“Dagitoy ket mausar kadagiti pasyente nga addaan sakit wennu kondisyon a saan a life threatening… Dakkel manen ti tulong na daytoy kadagiti kakailyan tayo aglalo ti areas a masapul ti reliable transportation para kadagiti masakit. God bless our province, God bless our people,” stated the governor.

According to Tubban, Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Ken Martinez received the patient transport vehicles in Manila and shall be transported to Kalinga soon.

Tubban has been an advocate of health and one of his priorities is the strengthening of district hospitals in the province to assure better health services to the residents.

During the pandemic, the provincial government saw the necessity of more transport vehicles for patients in order to answer the requests of the people.

In his message thru Atty. Martinez, Tubban thanked the PCSO saying the Provincial Government and the people of Kalinga appreciate the aid as the vehicles do not only mean having transport but saving lives.
