PMA 2023 Class Valedictorian is a retired soldier’s son from Batangas

Baguio City, Philippines – Having been inspired by his dad who is a former member of the Philippine Air Force(PAF), 22-year-old Cadet 1CL Warren Leonor is set to follow his father’s footsteps.


Leonor who is from Lipa City, Batangas managed to finish his 4 years at the country’s premier military academy as cum laude and valedictorian of the Philippine Military Academy MADASIGON (MAndirigmang may DAngal SImbolo ng Galing at PagbangON) Class of 2023.

Other citations given to him include Presidential Saber, Australian Defense Best Overall Performance Award, Academic Group Award, Social Sciences Plaque, Air Force Professional Courses Plaque, General Antonino Luna Award, Spanish Armed Forces Award, Philippine Air Force Saber, National Security Studies Plaque, and Management Plaque.


Leonor along with the other Top 10 cadets was presented by the PMA on Monday, May 08.


In his interview with ABS-CBN TeleRadyo, Leonor mentioned about his father who is a retired soldier and how he was inspired by his work.


“I was inspired by how he worked in the Philippine Airforce,” he shared.


He added that after their graduation from the academy, they will be given at least a month to celebrate and bond with their family before they will officially get deployed to their respective branch of service, and as for Leonor, that would be the Philippine Air Force.


The PMA MADASIGON Class of 2023 is composed of 311 cadets.
