Abra, Philippines – The Abra Police Provincial Office asked the public to refrain from sharing incomplete information to prevent ‘misunderstandings’ following the circulation of a footage involving police officers entering a private compound in Pidigan on March 27.

On Thursday night, the Abra PPO released a statement on their Facebook account to clear misconceptions about the footage showing police officers entering a compound in Barangay Pangtod.

According to the authorities, they received a report about the presence of supposed 30 armed men in said barangay with one of them carrying a long firearm. This, they said, prompted the police to proceed to the barangay which resulted in a chase. As the police pursued the armed men, the one with long firearm was seen entering the Rancho 88, and thus the police entry was done.

“Mailawlawag met nga iti gandat iti miyembro iti kapulisaan nga mangtiliw kadagiti mapapati nga armado nga lallaki ket maikanatad wenno saklaw iti linteg,” Abra PPO wrote.

The police provincial office then appealed to people to avoid sharing incomplete details which can lead to problematic ‘misunderstandings’ to the viewing public. They also asserted that the PNP Abra does not favor anyone when it comes to law implementation and enforcement.

“Igunamgunam met ti Abra PNP nga liklikan tayo ti agiwaras iti saan nga kumpleto nga report nga mabalin nga makagapo ti saan nga pinagkikinnaawatan. Kasta met nga agtalinaed ti kapulisanyo nga patas ken awan pilpilyen na nu maipapan iti panangipakat ti linteg,” they said.
