Police Cadet from Iguig, Cagayan ranks 5th in 2023 PNPA class

Cagayan, Philippines – A police cadet from the town of Iguig in Cagayan made it to the Top 10 of the 2023 graduating class of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA), announced the premiere law enforcement academy on Thursday, March 02.


Police Cadet Claire Gean L. Pambid, who landed fifth, will be joined by other top notchers in receiving recognition during their class graduation rites slated for next Friday, March 10.


Pambid, also a Dean’s and Commandant’s Lister, finished her secondary education at Gammad National High School.


Meanwhile, Police Cadet Jefferson Mamauag from Cauayan City, Isabela made it to Rank 8. He is a criminology graduate of Isabela State University – Cauayan Campus.

Police Cadet Francis D. Geneta from Naujan, Oriental Mindoro is set to receive Presidential Kampilan Award from President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. for being the valedictorian of Masidtalak Class of 2023. The top graduate, who chose to join the Philippine National Police, will likewise get the Chief PNP Kampilan Award.


Police Cadet John Rafael S. Desiderio, from Cubao, Quezon City, who ranked second, will be conferred the Vice President Kampilan Award, Best in Police Administration, and Best Thesis Award.


Jail Cadet Mary Louise M. Moyano from Gumaca of Quezon, who placed third in the ranking, will receive the Interior and Local Government (SILG) Kampilan Award, BJMP Kampilan Award, and Servant Leadership Kampilan Award.


Fire Cadet Eden Jhun M. Santos from San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, who ranked fourth, will be a recipient of the Chief, Bureau of Fire Protection Kampilan Award for being the top cadet who chose the fire bureau.

Other awardees are Police Cadet Gezelle N. Sadian from Aliaga, Nueva Ecija (Rank 6); Fire Cadet Gillian T. Torlao from Caloocan City (Rank 7); Police Cadet Patrick John D. Alabado from Marilao, Bulacan (Rank 9); and Police Cadet Kimberly Cruz from Malabon City (Rank 10). Cruz is Best in Public Safety Administration.


“Amid the grim struggle of winning supremacy over oneself, they have displayed paramount #competence and #excellence both in tactics and in the field of academics. These soon-to-be officers of the nation epitomize utmost determination, perseverance, and tenacity in performing their duties and responsibilities as cadets,” said PNPA.
