Police offer P.1M reward for info on Abra lawyer killers

Bangued, Abra – To expedite the investigation of the killing of Abra lawyer Ma. Saniata Gonzales-Alzate, the police now offer a reward of P100,000 to anyone who could provide information on the identity and whereabouts of the perpetrators behind her murder.

Abra police said informants can text or call 09178313874 or may visit their office in Bangued for leads on the case.

"Makakaasa ang publiko na ang pagkakakilanlan ng sinumang makapagbibigay ng kaukulang impormasyon ay mananatiling sagrado," Abra police assured.

The PNP Abra on Monday, Sept. 18, posted on Facebook photos of the suspects taken from CCTV footage for quicker identification.

The killing of Alzate, to recall, was caught on a CCTV camera where two men, both wearing caps, took turns shooting the lawyer multiple times.

The back rider was the first one to shoot, and while they were about to flee, the driver stopped the motorcycle beside the victim’s car and shot her numerous times as well. The victim sustained eight gunshot wounds.

Though she was immediately ferried to the Seares Memorial Hospital, the lawyer died while receiving treatment.

Relative to this, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla announced over the weekend that the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), one of the case probers, has already identified the suspects in the killing.

He, however, did not disclose their identities but said the NBI is now working on resolving the case.
