Policeman gunned down in Tuguegarao City

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – A policeman was gunned down while driving along the Cagayan State University road in Barangay Carig Sur around 5:50 PM on September 3, 2021.

Based on a report from the Cagayan Provincial Information Office, the victim was identified as Police Staff Sergeant Aldrin Allam from Cabbo, Peñablanca. He is currently assigned at the Lallo Police Station.

Initial investigation of the police revealed that Allam was driving his Toyota Vios in Barangay Carig Sur when unidentified people riding in a gray van without a plate number fired bullets on his car.

Allam sustained gunshot wounds in various parts of his body that led to his death.

The operatives immediately conducted a hot pursuit operation and sent out alarms to the police in Cagayan and in Region II for the identification and arrest of the suspects. Police are still investigating to establish the motive of the crime.
