Possible HIT and RUN case: 47-yr.-old man found dead in Sablan, Benguet

Sablan, Benguet - Authorities in Sablan, Benguet are now investigating the circumstances under which a 47-year-old man's body was found dead along a private road within the said municipality in the morning of Wednesday, January 1, 2025. 

The man was initially identified by the Sablan PNP as a laborer and a resident of Hi-acres, Suyoc, Banangan, Sablan. 

Initial police investigation results obtained by the DZWT 540 AM—Radyo Totoo revealed that the deceased was first seen by his relative lying on top of a hollow block, and he appeared to be injured.

The relative tried to take the victim to the hospital, but he was unable to do so. The report did not state why the relative was not able to take his kin to a medical facility. 

The relative, a man, decided to leave the victim for a while to ask for help from their family members.

Afterwards, the victim was later found by passersby. He was already lifeless at that time.

The passersby reported the matter to the authorities, who went to the site to investigate the reasons behind the man's death.

It was further mentioned in the report that the man is possibly a victim of a hit-and-run, as rumors regarding the matter are circulating.
