Postal Station in Santa Marcela opens to serve the public

Santa Marcela, Apayao - Santa Marcela LGU, in partnership with the PHLPost, launched the town's Postal Station with the signing of a memorandum of agreement at the Municipal Hall in Feb.21.

 

With the official opening of the postal station in town, residents may avail postal I.D. service, mail and parcel delivery, and express postal service. Mayor Evelyn Martinez expressed her appreciation and lauded the municipal officials for their commitment to provide timely support to PhilPost's operations with manpower and equipment, hence bringing vital services closer to the people.

 

Martinez, in her message, informed that interested applicants of Postal ID can visit the POST Office in Santa Marcela, at the first floor of the Municipal Hall, between the MPDO office and the LCR office. Requirements to submit include One (1) copy of duly- accomplished PID form; one original copy and photocopy of any of the following proof of identity (National ID, PSA birth certificate, GSIS UMID ID, SSS ID, Driver's License, Passport, or marriage certificate, if applicable); and any of the following proof of address (barangay certificate of residency, barangay residence Id, Bank statement, School billing statement, credit card statement, certified true copy of lease, certified true copy of real estate tax receipt, or certified true copy of titles issued by the Land Registration Authority (LRA), and a P550 application fee.

 

Meantime, Corporation Area Director Dr. Melody P. Olavides led the turnover of the Postal responsibility to the LGU.
