PRC Mobile licensing, job fair set in Kalinga next week


Tabuk City, Kalinga – The commemoration of the 123rd anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service in the province will continue next week with various activities scheduled by the provincial government of Kalinga.


Among the activities set to take place are mobile licensing by the Professional Regulation Commission, a job fair, a blood donation drive, legal aid, psychological first aid, health and safety orientation, and a bazaar.

Scheduled for Monday, September 11, is the blood donation drive, the securing and claiming of national IDs through the Philippine Statistics Authority, the legal aid, and the bazaar.


In securing a national ID, the public is encouraged to bring with them two valid IDs and a copy of their birth certificate.


For the free legal aid, members of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines—Kalinga chapter will be providing legal assistance and consultation regarding labor relations and laws governing employment practices.


Meantime, the bazaar will include a Lingkod Bayani entrepreneurial booth ready to serve food for sale of different varieties and displays for dry goods such as clothing and Kalinga accessories, which can be bought at a negotiable price.


Day 1 shall run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.


On September 12, job seekers will be given opportunities for local employment and jobs overseas.

"Employers may conduct an outright interview, and applicants may be hired on the spot. Likewise, the activity will promote employment information to potential job seekers," says the provincial government.


On the same day, professionals shall also be catered to with services by PRC-Tuguegarao, which include renewal of PRC ID, certifications and authentication of PRC documents, petitions for change of name and correction of entries, and release of the Professional ID Card, among others.


On September 14, a psychological first aid plan shall also be made ‘to help reduce the distress of government employees caused by traumatic events, foster short- and long-term adaptive coping, and assist them in a healthy recovery.’

Alongside the event, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Kalinga shall also hold a health and safety orientation to equip the required safety information to employees in their workplace, particularly those who have just started their jobs.


Participants shall likewise be given the opportunity to ask questions and be clarified on confusing information related to their health and safety.
