Progressive Tanudan: Tanudan is now a 3rd Class Municipality

Tanudan, Kalinga – Living up to its tagline Progressive Tanudan, the town has been upgraded to third class municipality.

Under Department Order No. 074.2024, the Department of Finance has classified Tanudan from being a 4th Class Municipality to now 3rd based on income ranges and average annual regular income for three fiscal years.

In order for a town to be classified as 3rd class, it should have P130,000,000 – P160,000,000 average annual regular income.

The new classifications of provinces, cities, and municipalities through the DO 074.2024 shall take effect on January 1, 2025 in accordance with Section 9 of the Republic Act No. 11964 and Rule III, Section 10 of its implementing Rules and Regulations.

With the upgrade of Tanudan, Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag expressed that this is the product of the consolidated efforts of the Tanudan LGU officials and employees and the support and cooperation of the people of Tanudan.

“Iti panagprogreso iti maysa nga ili ket consolidated effort daytoy dagiti mangidadaulo ken dagiti empleyado iti LGU. Ngem awan met lang iti progreso, uray permi iti panangitrabaho dagiti leaders, nu awan iti supporta ken kooperasyon iti umili,” he said, adding that Tanudan both have working officials and supportive constituents, thus the elevation of the municipality to a 3rd class town. 

With the people of Tanudan united in entrusting him the town’s highest position for one more term from 2025 – 2028, Dagadag assured the people that he will continue what his administration started in 2019 which is to keep on working to bring developmental projects in Tanudan even with their limited IRA.

“itultuloy tayo latta nga aramiden dagitoy narugyan tayo, ken uray nu kuna tayo nga limited iti IRA, haan nga daytoy iti manglapped iti agtul-tuloy nga panagprogreso iti Tanudan. Narugyan ken nakaya tayo kadagitoy naglabas nga tawen, itultuloy tayo latta tatta,” he said.
