Tanudan, Kalinga – To ensure successful implementation of projects and programs in the Municipality of Tanudan, the Local Government Unit formulated its Project Monitoring Committee on November 16, 2022.

The organization of the said committee is among the agenda discussed during the 2nd semester meeting of the Municipal Development Council (MDC) headed by Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag at the Davidson Hotel.

MDC Secretariat Aurie Mae Banson relayed that members of the said committee will be the department heads of the LGU offices, barangay captains, and Civil Society Organizations.

Banson explained that the Project Monitoring Committee will inspect and monitor the implementation of projects in the locality to make sure that they are being executed well, in accordance with its programs of work.

The committee, she added, will soon be finalized once Mayor Dagadag issues a decision on its composition.

Meantime, the formulated Executive Legislative Agenda for 2023 – 2025 and the proposed MLGU 2023 budget have been approved by the council at the same meeting.

Banson further said that the MDC favored the conversion of the isolation unit in Banagao, Poblacion into a multi-purpose covered court. This decision was made as the Covid-19 pandemic is already manageable.

With the conversion, the building will be utilized for other matters such as an evacuation place, meeting hall, or even isolation area.
