Tabuk City, Kalinga – Attorney Errol Comafay, who is running for councilor in Tabuk City, assured supporters that votes for him will still be counted amid circulating claims he is out of the May 2025 elections.

Comafay, on April 7, once again clarified he is still in the midterm polls, as claims he was already disqualified from the race are still circulating.

According to the lawyer, there was a decision from Comelec stating he’s disqualified because he is not a resident of Tabuk City.

“Adda ti decision ti Comelec nga nangibaga nga disqualified nak gapu kano ta saanak kano nga residente ti Tabuk. Ag-apela nak idiay Supreme Court gapu ta kamali ti decision ti Comelec. Pudno nga residente nak ti Tabuk, isu nga awan rason nga ma-disqualify nak,” he explained.

With him taking the case to the Supreme Court, Comafay asserted that votes for him on May 12 will be valid and counted.

“Gapu ta ag-apela nak ket saan nga maikkat ti nagan ko iti balota. Adda latta ti nagan ko idiay balota isu nga maibutos nak latta. Nu ibutos yo siak ket mabilang ti butos yo kanyak. Nu mangabak nak ket ma-i-proklema nak ken makapagserbi nak nga Konsehal yo,” he said.

Comafay appealed for the continuous support of the constituents of Tabuk in his bid to become one of the city's legislators in May this year.
