Pudtol LGU undergoes SGLG 2024 national validation; Mayor Pascua hopeful of positive results

Pudtol, Apayao- The Municipality of Pudtol, under the administration of Mayor Hector Reuel Pascua and Vice Mayor Randy A. Laoat, went through the 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) national validation at the EKB clubhouse in the LGU compound, on Wednesday, September 11.


The 2024 SGLG National Validation serves as an evaluation exercise, and an opportunity for Pudtol local government to showcase the municipality’s achievements and its commitment to fostering positive impact on the lives of its residents through good governance and continuous advancement in public service delivery.


In his FB post, Mayor Pascua expressed thanks to the national validators and the DILG Apayao, and hoped for the success of the evaluation.


The DILG says results shall be made available soon.


LGU personnel affirmed they had prepared crucial documents needed, including the on-site validation of locations of projects relative to the assessment.


In order to obtain said award, the municipality should excel in SGLG indicators such as Financial Administration and Sustainability; Social Protection and Sensitivity; Health Compliance and Responsiveness; Safety, Peace and Order; Sustainable Education; Disaster Preparedness; Environmental Management; Business-friendliness and Competitiveness; Tourism, Heritage Development, Culture and Arts; and Youth Development.


Cluster Leader, LGOO VII Rodel D. Hilario from DILG Ilocos Norte led the assessment, which serves as one of the procedures in acquiring the SGLG award.


The SGLG Award, under RA no. 11292, is deemed the highest recognition and the most prestigious award conferred by the DILG to outstanding Local government units (LGUs), which are compliant with pertinent national laws and guidelines.
