Pudtol logs highest number of affected families in Apayao due to Typhoon Kristine

Luna, Apayao- Initial report from PSWDO, led by Dept. Head Jocelyn Loyon, showed the Municipality of Pudtol recorded the highest number of families affected by Severe Tropical Storm KRISTINE as of 10AM, October 24.


PSWDO's consolidated Dromic data revealed there are 483 affected families, or 1,661 individuals affected. Of the number, Pudtol logged the highest with 164 families or 516 individuals.


This is followed by the municipality of Flora which recorded 86 families or 285 individuals, Santa Marcela with 73 families (259 inviduals), Conner with 65 (286), Calanasan with 64 (196), Kabugao with 31 (119). Luna has not yet submitted their report.


Meantime, of the 483 families affected Province-wide, 380 were displaced or 1,295 individuals. As of 10AM today, 162 families have been served or 516 persons. Moreover, 35 evacuation centers are being used as temporary shelters of said families.


Number of affected, displaced and served families may change after reports from LGUs will be consolidated and updated.


Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr. has previously ordered the PDRRMO, MDRRMOs, LDRRMOs, PSWDO, MSWDOs, BLGUs, and all concerned offices to look after the welfare of yApayaos. Thus, the prepositioning of food packs, needed aids, and activivation of quick response teams for immediate delivery of relief and rescue actions were made.


Although, there were 5 partially damaged houses, there are no casualties reported.

STS Kristine is moving toward Benguet to Ilocos Sur, and it is expected to get outside PAR this afternoon, according to DOST-PAGASA.
