Pudtol Mayor Pascua calls all qualified young men/women in town to join Philippine Army

Pudtol, Apayao - Pudtol Local Government Unit, led by Mayor Hector Reuel Pascua reiterated its call for all qualified and interested young men and women in town to join in the recruitment for the Philippine Army which shall take place in the province of Apayao on September 6, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, at a venue that will be announced later.


The Army Recruitment Office - North Luzon will spearhead the registration, pre-screening, and validation processes for eligible Officer Candidate Course and Candidate Soldier Course applicants in celebration of the 124th Civil Service Anniversary.


At present, Apayao's AFP recruitment program has already produced 798 uniformed personnel in seven years, from 2017 to 2024. Of the 798 produced, 753 joined the Philippine Army, 38 in the Philippine Marines, and 7 in the Air Force. This year, 41 are enlisted and are undergoing rigid trainings.


Said event is aligned with the AFP recruitment program, in which Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr. formulated a plan to solve insurgency, unemployment, and poverty with one shot – that is the Army Recruitment of yApayaos.


This stemmed from his father's vision of producing courageous yApayaos ready to defend the province from rebels at the same time become an asset to the local economy.


The Recruitment unit of the Provincial Government said potential and interested yApayao applicants should adhere to guidelines and submit necessary documents, accordingly.


Qualifications for (OCC) Officer Candidate Course are:

1. Baccalaureate Degree Holder

2. Natural-born Filipino citizen

3. Single with no parental obligation

4. At least 5 feet tall (both male & female)

5. Physical & mentally fit

6. At least 21year old but not a day older than 27 years old upon oath-taking

7. No pending case in any court


It was advised that fresh graduates/4th year college who were not able to get their Diploma/TOR, they may present their certificate signed by the school registrar & school ID./Proof. On the other hand, AFPSAT passers for Category A & B or score 80-150 to any branch of service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines are qualified to take Army Qualifying Exam (AQE) and Special Written Examination (SWE).


Similarly, qualifications for (CSC) Candidate Soldier Course include:

1. K12/Senior High Graduate or 72 Units in College

2. Natural-born Filipino citizen

3. Single with no parental obligation

4. At least 5 feet tall (both male & female)

5. Physical & mentally fit

6. At least 18 years old but not a day older than 26 years old upon oath-taking, and

7. No pending case in any court


Meanwhile, the Pudtol LGU staff conveyed aspiring soldiers should bring with them the following needed requirements: original Diploma/Certificates, transcript of Records,(TOR)/ Form 137/138, PSA-Issued Birth Certificate, Gov't issued valid ID.
