Region CAR earns 3rd highest passing rate in August 2023 Civil Service Exam

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Cordillera recorded the third highest passing rate in the August 2023 Civil Service Exam – Pen and Paper Test(CSE-PPT), according to data released by Civil Service Commission in December.

Passing the Civil Service Examination has been proven to be challenging to most of its takers. In fact, in the August 2023 CSE-PPT, the latest PPT administered by the Civil Service Commission, 18.72% had made it to the cut.

This is 64,635 of the 345,194 individuals who took the test at the time.

Of these passers, takers from the Cordillera region delivered the top 3 passing rate which is 21.28%, according to the Examination, Recruitment and Placement Office of the CSC.

The National Capital Region, meanwhile, dominated the August 2023 CSE – PPT passers with a 26.03% passing rate, followed by Central Luzon with 22.50%.

Other regions with notable passing rates include Southern Tagalog, 21.17%; Central Visayas, 20.15%; and Ilocos region with 20.06%.

The Civil Service Commission will administer the next CSC – PPT on March 3, 2024. The application period for the exam is extended until January 12 this year.
