Remains of Maj. Jude Salang-oy to arrive in Kalinga on March 12

Tabuk City, Kalinga – iKalingas along with the family and loved ones of the late Major Jude Salang-oy will receive his remains tomorrow, March 12, 2025.

 

Salang-oy’s body is expected to arrive at the 503rd Infantry Brigade in Calanan, Tabuk City around 10:30 a.m. where he will be given arrival honors before he is ferried to the Provincial Capitol in Bulanao.

 

The fallen hero’s remains will be brought to Purok 1, Bulanao after the service at the Capitol.

 

Salang-oy was one of the two pilots onboard the FA-50 fighter jet which crashed on March 4 while flying to provide combat support to soldiers battling members of the New People’s Army in Bukidnon.

 

The iKalinga airman together with his co-pilot 1st Lieutenant April John Dadulla were found dead inside the wrecked jet on March 5 at the Mt. Kalatungan Complex in Bukidnon.

 

The remains of the two fallen military pilots were flown to Pasay, Manila on March 8 where they were accorded by the Philippine Air Force with the Distinguished Aviation Cross, the highest honor for pilots in the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
