Remains of missing Tanudan LGU driver found in Bulanao, Tabuk City

Tabuk City, Kalinga — Seven months since he was reported missing, the remains of Aladin Lumatac were found at Sitio Callagdao, Bulanao Saturday afternoon, October 8, 2022.


Lumatac was the missing driver of the Local Government Unit of Tanudan who was last seen on March 9, 2022.


Based on the investigation of the Tabuk City Police Station, the remains of the said driver were discovered by a citizen when he went to gather firewood around 2:00 PM on Saturday.


The citizen told the police that he found a decomposed body under a tree where a blue jacket was hung.

After processing the crime scene, the Kalinga Provincial Crime Laboratory Office recovered the said Hilfiger blue jacket along with a vaccine card, remote control of a Toyota Hilux vehicle, a cellphone, and an identification card, bearing the name of Aladin Lumatac.


Upon hearing the news of the found remains, Lumatac’s family proceeded to the crime scene where they positively identified that the clothes recovered belonged to the missing driver.


Autopsy and DNA test of the body have already been requested. Investigation into the case is in progress.
