Writer: Pasil LGUPasil LGU

Pasil, Kalinga – A total of 280 kids under 5 to 11 age bracket received their first dose of COVID-19 during the Municipal Health Office ‘Rebakuna Kids’ vaccination program kick-off, held on Saturday, April 09, 2022, at Amdalao open gymnasium.

Also inoculated during the event were 10 children ages 12 to 17 who got their first dose while two received their booster shots.

The vaccinees came from the barangays of Bagtayan, Galdang, Guina-ang, Pugong, Malucsad, Dangtalan, and Magsilay. This is in accordance with the schedule set by Pasil MHO under the leadership of Dr. Aldrin Siwao to ensure observance of minimum public health standards.

The venue was turned into a party-like environment, decorated with balloons, flowers, and tarpaulin to entice the children to participate and help them cope with their fear of needles.

The kids were likewise entertained by the Bureau of Fire Protection mascots, while gift packs and stuffed toys were given to the children.

Pasil MHO expressed gratitude to BFP-Pasil and the Philippine National Police-Pasil, along with Dr. Claire Bawalan, and Councilors Jaime Bawagan and Speedy Lapaddic for extending their hand that contributed to the success of the event.

Pasil MHO’s vaccination schedule is for the children from Balinciagao Sur, Balinciagao Norte, Ableg, Dalupa, and Cagaluan to be held this April 11 at the Ableg open gym.

The MHO will then be heading to the barangay hall of Batong Buhay on Tuesday, April 12, to accommodate the kids of Batong Buhay, Balatoc, and Colayo.
