Residential fire in Pico, La Trinidad leaves P1.5M damage

La Trinidad, Benguet – Around P1.5 million worth of property was lost to fire after a residential area at Sitio Bayabas, Pico, La Trinidad was in flames on Sunday morning, September 18, 2022.

Bureau of Fire Protection in La Trinidad said they responded to the fire when they received a call reporting the incident at past 7AM.

The BFP personnel arrived at the scene at around 7:52 AM and found the two-storey house owned by Erlindo Bañez Jr. burning.

The firefighters were able to control the fire and declared a fire out at 8:15 AM.

Fortunately, no one was hurt in said incident although the fire destroyed parts of the property.

Authorities are still investigating the origin and cause of the fire.

Just on August 29 this year, a structural fire broke out in the same sitio of Barangay Pico.

The local BFP reminded the public to take precaution to avoid fire incident which may cause injuries or death.
