Tabuk City, Kalinga – “Divisive tactics only weaken the unity and strength of our community,” Kalinga Lone Representative aspirant, Ret. PBGen. Steve Ludan stressed as he called on anonymous accounts spreading disinformation to engage with him in an ‘open, honest, and respectful’ dialogue.

Ludan made the statement through his Facebook page on November 26 following what he called ‘baseless’ accusations and posts against him being spread by people hiding behind anonymous accounts.

He denied the veracity of these claims posted on Facebook groups, saying all of them are ‘entirely false’ and are only intended to ‘distract us from the real issues that matter to the future of our beloved province’.

“To those who hide behind anonymity to spread falsehoods, I extend an invitation: let us engage in open, honest, and respectful dialogue,” he conveyed.

Amid these posts proliferated against him on Facebook, the political aspirant emphasized the Kalinga Core Values of ‘Ngilin, Paniyaw, and Bain’ which don’t just inspire him in his personal convictions, but also guide him in serving his kailyans with ‘integrity and purpose’.

“… I remain steadfast in my mission to bring meaningful progress to our province: fostering peace and order, improving access to quality education and healthcare, enhancing infrastructure, and creating sustainable economic opportunities for all,” he said.

Ludan, meanwhile, reminded the importance of promoting the truth and progress, urging his supporters to rise above negativity and to avoid personal attacks.

“Let us focus on the values that unite us as one resilient and determined community,” he said.
